Privacy

RemoteJobsOne asks for no account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to. The only personal details it holds are the name and email address you give when you press Apply. This page explains what is recorded, why, for how long, and which cookies are set.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which listings are opened. It sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<id>, which hold a randomly generated identifier and no personal detail. They exist so a return visit is not counted twice.

Nothing you type is sent to Google, and the site sets no other cookie of its own. You can block cookies for this site in your browser, or install Google’s opt-out add-on; the site works exactly the same either way.

If you are reading from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, no analytics cookie is set at all unless you have agreed to one. Measurement there runs without storage: the visit is counted, and nothing is kept in your browser to recognise you by.

Advertising

Ads on this site are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show and measure ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this or other sites, and to limit how often the same ad is repeated.

You can turn personalised advertising off in Google’s Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors at aboutads.info. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you are asked to choose before any advertising cookie is set, and you can change that choice at any time from the link in the footer of the consent notice.

What is recorded

So that we can tell which listings and searches are useful, the server records a small event when a job page is viewed, a search is run, or an apply button is pressed. Each event holds:

  • which job or category was involved
  • the search terms, when the event was a search
  • the site you arrived from, as a hostname only — never the full address of the page you came from
  • campaign tags, when a link carried them, and whether the device is a phone, tablet or desktop
  • an anonymous session identifier, described below

The session identifier

Events are grouped so that ten page views by one visitor do not read as ten visitors. The identifier used for that is a one-way hash of coarse request signals combined with a secret salt, and it is rotated every day.

It cannot be reversed into an address or a person, it does not follow you between sites, and it does not survive to the next day. It is enough to count a visit and not enough to recognise you.

The same identifier lets the home and jobs pages suggest roles like the ones you viewed earlier that day. Nothing is stored in your browser for it, and the suggestions are forgotten when the identifier rotates at midnight.

When you apply

Pressing Apply on a job page opens a short form. Filling it in stores:

  • your first name, last name and email address
  • the role you applied for, and when
  • the country your connection came from, as reported by our network provider — you are not asked for it, and your IP address itself is not stored
  • whether the device is a phone or a computer, and the site or campaign that brought you, if any
  • when our emails to you were sent, and whether you opened the application link

We use these details only to:

  • email you your personal application link straight away;
  • send you at most three reminders, a day apart, until you finish applying — they stop as soon as you do;
  • tell whether you finished: the hiring platform shares with us a list of the names of people who completed an application through our referral link, and we check your name against it;
  • now and then, email you about similar open roles, never more than once a day.

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and using it stops all of our email to that address for good. To remember that, we keep a one-way fingerprint (a hash) of the address, not the address itself.

We do not pass your details to the employer: you enter whatever the employer needs yourself, on its own platform. We do not sell them or use them for advertising. Emails are delivered through our email provider, Resend, which processes the address only to deliver the message. The form may run Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that tells people from bots without cookies and without asking you to do anything in most cases.

Your application record is deleted twelve months after you applied. The legal basis is your own request to apply (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in helping you finish that application (Article 6(1)(f)); under Turkey’s KVKK, the performance of the step you asked for.

If you applied to one of our listings on a job board, the board passes your name and email to us through our recruitment software (Manatal), and we send you the same application link and reminders on the same terms.

What is never recorded

  • phone numbers, CVs, passwords or payment details
  • raw IP addresses
  • anything you type other than the search box and the apply form
  • any activity on other websites

We do not sell data. Advertising is served by Google, as described above; we pass no data of our own to it.

When you leave for an employer

The application itself is completed on the platform that published the role, not here. Opening your application link records that press and sends you there, and that platform becomes responsible for whatever you do on it under its own privacy policy. Read it before you hand over anything.

Where the data lives

Events and application records are held in this site’s own database on its hosting provider’s servers. Aggregate counts are kept for as long as the site runs; application records for twelve months. Nothing is shared with a third party for analytics.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK you may ask what is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or erased, or object to our emails. If you applied, write to us from the address you used and we will send you your record, correct it or delete it. Browsing leaves very little to find: with a daily-rotating identifier, we usually cannot connect a page view to a person even if asked to, and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot look up.

Changes

If what the site records changes, this page changes with it. It describes the current behaviour of the site, not an intention.
