GDPR & KVKK notice
Last updated October 1, 2026
This notice is given under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). It covers everything RemoteJobsOne does with personal data. For a plainer walk-through of the same ground, see the privacy policy; for cookies, the cookie policy.
Who is responsible
The data controller is RemoteJobsOne, operated from Turkey. You can reach us about anything on this page through the contact form (choose “Your data”) or at the email address on the contact page. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as neither law requires one for a site of this kind; your message reaches the person who runs the site.
What we process, and why
Job applications started on this site
- Data: First and last name, email address, the role, the date, the country of your connection (not your IP address), device type, and the site or campaign that brought you.
- Purpose: To email you your application link and up to three reminders, to see whether you finished, and occasionally to tell you about similar roles.
- Legal basis: Your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) and (f).
- Kept for: 12 months, then deleted.
Messages sent through the contact form
- Data: Topic, name, email address, an optional job link, your message, the country of your connection and device type.
- Purpose: To read and answer your message.
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f).
- Kept for: 12 months, then deleted.
Visit statistics
- Data: Pages and listings viewed, searches, the referring website as a hostname, campaign tags, device type and a one-way identifier that changes every day.
- Purpose: To know which listings and pages are useful and to keep the site working.
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f). The identifier cannot be traced back to you.
- Kept for: Aggregate counts for as long as the site runs.
Unsubscribe requests
- Data: A one-way fingerprint (hash) of the email address, never the address itself.
- Purpose: So that an address that asked us to stop is never emailed again.
- Legal basis: Legal obligation and legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c) and (f)); KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç) and (f).
- Kept for: Indefinitely — deleting it would let mail start again.
We do not ask for, and do not want, CVs, identity documents, bank details or any special category of data such as health or religion. We make no automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not sell personal data.
How it is collected
Directly from you, when you fill in the apply or contact form; automatically, when your browser requests a page; and, if you applied to one of our listings on another job board, from that board through our recruitment software. The hiring platform you finish your application on tells us the names of people who completed one through our referral link, so that we can stop sending reminders.
Who receives it
- our hosting provider, which runs the server and database in Turkey;
- Resend, which delivers our emails;
- Cloudflare, which delivers the site and protects it from abuse;
- Google, for analytics and advertising, as described in the cookie policy;
- Manatal, our recruitment software, for applications that arrive from job boards.
Each acts on our instructions or under its own published terms and privacy commitments. We do not pass your details to employers: you give an employer whatever it needs yourself, on its own platform.
Transfers abroad
Some of the services above are based in the United States or process data there. Those transfers rely on the safeguards the providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses, and on the transfer rules in Article 9 of the KVKK.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (Articles 15–22) and the KVKK (Article 11) you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold data about you, and give you a copy;
- explain why it is processed and who it has been shared with;
- correct it if it is wrong, or delete it;
- restrict or object to its use, including for email;
- give it to you in a portable format;
- tell the recipients about a correction or deletion;
- compensate you for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Write from the email address you used with us so we can find your record and know it is yours. We answer within thirty days and free of charge. Every email we send also carries a one-click unsubscribe link that takes effect at once.
If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EU and EEA, to the data protection authority where you live or work.
Changes
When what we do with data changes, this notice changes with it and the date at the top moves forward.
