Cookie Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, so that it can recognise the same browser later. This page lists every cookie that can be set while you use RemoteJobsOne, who sets it, what it is for and how long it lasts — and how to say no to it.
The short version: RemoteJobsOne itself needs no cookie to work. You can search, read every listing and apply with all cookies blocked. There is no account, no login and no shopping cart, so there is nothing a cookie would need to remember for you. The cookies below come from the measurement and advertising services the site uses, and each can be refused without losing anything.
Strictly necessary cookies
None. Our own visit counting does not use cookies: it groups page views with a daily-rotating, one-way identifier computed on our server, which is described on the privacy page. Because nothing is stored in your browser for it, there is nothing to accept or decline.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics helps us see which pages and listings people find useful. Outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland it may set:
- _ga — set by Google Analytics on our domain. A random identifier used to tell one visitor from another. Lasts up to two years.
- _ga_<id> — set by Google Analytics on our domain. Keeps the state of the current visit. Lasts up to two years.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland these cookies are not set unless you agree to them. Until then, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode: a visit is counted, but nothing is written to your browser.
Advertising cookies
Ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and the ad partners it works with may set cookies such as IDE, __gads, __gpi and DSID to show ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure whether an ad was seen, and — where you allow it — choose ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Their lifetimes range from a few weeks to about thirteen months. Google describes each of them in its own cookie policy at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you are asked first, through a consent notice provided by Google, and no advertising cookie is set before you answer. You can change that choice later from the same notice.
Security checks
The apply and contact forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated scripts. It is designed to work without cookies and without asking you to solve a puzzle in most cases. Cloudflare, which delivers this site, may also set a short-lived cookie such as __cf_bm on a connection that looks automated; it holds no personal detail and expires after thirty minutes.
Things stored on your device that are not cookies
If you start writing a message in our contact form, the unsent text is kept in your browser’s session storage so a reload does not wipe it. It never leaves your device unless you press Send, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
How to refuse or delete cookies
- In your browser. Every browser lets you block third-party cookies, block all cookies for one site, or clear the cookies already stored. The settings are usually under Privacy or Site settings.
- For Google Analytics. Google offers a browser add-on that stops Analytics on every site, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- For personalised ads. Turn them off in Google’s My Ad Center (adssettings.google.com), and for other networks at youronlinechoices.eu or optout.aboutads.info.
Blocking any of these changes nothing about how RemoteJobsOne works: listings, search, pay figures and the apply form behave exactly the same.
Changes and questions
When the cookies on the site change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top moves. How we handle personal data more broadly is set out in the privacy policy and the GDPR & KVKK notice. For anything else, send us a message.
